MITCH LEE, PARTNER
Having built or remodeled several of their own homes, Mitch and longtime partner Randall Oxford joined forces in 2003 to form ArTex Development to offer their architectural vision, creativity and sense of style to clients looking to build a custom home or remodel an existing one. A Dallas Realtor for more than 25 years, also represents residential buyers and sellers throughout the Dallas area. His extensive real estate expertise enables ArTex to offer unique turnkey services that include property acquisition. Mitch originally hailed from Sinton, TX, near Corpus Christi. He attended Baylor Univ., where he was named an All American cheerleader while earning a Business & Accounting degree.
RANDALL OXFORD, PARTNER
Randall retired from a 25-year career in public relations with Pennzoil, Frito-Lay and Mary Kay Inc. in 2008 to pursue his longtime passion for building and remodeling. From helping Pennzoil navigate the fallout from the Texaco/Getty Oil merger and managing employee communications at Frito-Lay during a period of record growth to leading Mary Kay’s international corporate communications, Randall’s diversified corporate experience enables him to help guide clients through the many stages of their project. After escaping his parents’ grade-A dairy and chicken farm near Fayetteville, AR, he earned graduate and post-graduate degrees from the Univ. of Arkansas and Univ. of Houston.
ROSS BOORHEM, PARTNER
Having served as General Contractor since the company’s inception in 2003, Ross quickly became an ArTex Partner. He has expertise in all aspects of construction management, from creating plans and budgets to permitting, construction and finish-out. Ross assembles and manages a team of sub-contractors best suited to successfully transform building or remodeling plans into an award-winning home. Ross was pioneer in Dallas’ green-build movement, managing construction of the second Platinum Level LEEDS Certified home built in Dallas recognized by the American Institute of Architects and Luxe Magazine. Originally from south Arkansas, Ross grew up in Sherman, TX, before attending SMU and opening a chain of successful “Feed Bag” restaurants.
SHAWN WILLIAMSON, ACCOUNTING
Raised in Kentucky, Shawn moved to Dallas in 1997, and has served in a variety of company accounting and bookeeping roles for a broad spectrum of entities ranging from construction, retail and cost accounting to an internatinally known non-profit arts organization. Shawn joined ArTex in June 2005, and manages all aspects of accounting, as well as the partners’ personal finances, and supporting one of the founders’ real estate profession. With a knack of putting his finger on a particular invoice from any given project, Shawn is an integral member of the ArTex team. On weekends, he’s either at his vacation home south of Dallas, or chasing after his grandchildren.
BURL HAWKINS, DESIGN CONSULTANT
After graduating with a Architecture Degree from the Univ. of Oklahoma, Burl became lead designer at Graphic Design Group International. Over the next 21 years, he managed more than 300 high-end residential design projects. Burl began collaborating with ArTex in 2006, and has since designed more than 60 residential and commercial projects. Embracing each design opportunity, Burl excels at space planning, creating inspired floor plans and elevations based on input from ArTex partners and clients.
